Year 5

Science Experiment!

The year 5s conducted a science experiment to see how different drinks affect the shell of an egg. We compared coke, milk, water, vinegar and coffee! The results were shocking! The egg's shell, which was left in the coke,  was soft and malleable. The shell, which had been submerged in the vinegar, had dissolved and became rough and brittle. Luckily, the eggs which had been left in the milk and water mixture, were not affected and remained fully intact.
