During your child's time in Goldcrest Nursery, we want them to be part of an environment that promotes opportunities learn, co-operate and build friendships. We aim to provide children with a rich variety of challenging play activities and other experiences in a stimulating environment. Our focus is to allow children to learn at their own pace, gain a positive image of themselves as learners and to be able to cope with new styles of learning.
We have lots of engaging topics which the children will be involved in exploring through accessing the provision and group focused tasks. Wherever we can, we try to fit in some baking and cooking such as making bread for the Little Red Hen. We will also be going on an exciting trip to Cannon Hall Farm.
Each week we share what we have been exploring and learning all about through our learning journal. This will allow you to talk to your child about their time in nursery. It is also an opportunity to complete activities that have been suggested in the weekly update which will reinforce what we have been covering.
Children are given the time, space and resources to follow their own interests during child initiated play in the indoor and outdoor learning environment.
We look forward to developing a good partnership between home and school.
