Geography

The Geography Curriculum within High View.

Our Geography Curriculum Leader is - Mrs H Walker

Children at High View enjoy learning geography through different topics which help them to know about where they live and the wider world.

The core learning areas are locational knowledge, human and physical geography and geography skills. Children learn where places are starting with their local area and environment and their place in the world. They learn subject specific vocabulary related to physical and human geography to get an understanding of what places are like.  They are also given opportunities to learn the skills of geography via practical ways such as handling maps, photographs, data collection and real world visits.

Here are some photographs showing geography in action!
