The children have made friendship bracelets to give to a friend next week .We also had great fun making a friendship cake together, which we enjoyed sharing when we drank our milk at story time.
We had a big surprise this morning when we arrived at nursery. Our playground was completely flooded! The children were so interested in observing the movement of the water, especially when it began raining again in the afternoon!
As you can see from our learning journey wall we have had a really busy half term. We have been singing lots of nursery rhymes ,learning all about autumn and harvest time. Please remember to look at our learning wall in nursery cloakroom to see our fantastic learning.

Spring has sprung at High View and out we went to investigate the school grounds for signs that spring is just around the corner. The children found daffodils and snowdrops and we even had a look at our pond for tadpoles. The children spotted buds on the trees and we all had fun weaving in and out of the bushes on the school field.
This week the cold winter weather finally arrived and the children have had fun investigating the changes outside in our playground. They were all very excited to see that Jack Frost had been during the night and left a sprinkling of ice and frost . The children enjoyed picking up the ice to feel it in their hands and watch it melt away. This week the children made some wonderful winter trees to display around our classroom.
At High View Nursery we want to build upon the learning that has taken place in the home. We aim to provide children with a rich variety of challenging play activities and other experiences in a stimulating environment.
