What an amazing achievement to be Barnsley Choir of the year! Well done to all involved. All the choir had a fantastic time singing at the Alambra Christmas Light Switch On, the crowd was enormous and they like all at High View were exceptionally impressed with how well they can sing! Well done High View Choir!
We have a compacted week where four year groups, at some point, have been out on trips. These have included:
Year 5 have been to Edam Camp. Year 3 have been to Chocolate Factory. Year 2 have been to the church and cemetery. Year 6 have been to the Mining Museum. All of the children had a fantastic time and have experienced new learning whilst on these trips and have learnt lots of new facts, ready to completed exciting work to demonstrate what they have learnt. School has taken part in the annual Anti-Bullying Week. All pupils have spent time being reminded of how we behave to others, valuing being unique and how to deal with conflict face to face and online. As always, please remember no child should go home upset so encourage them to speak to an adult - if they have a problem - before coming home and it will be dealt with immediately, so everyone goes home happy. Thank you for your continued support.
Year 2 and Year 5 have been to the church for Remembrance Day. Also thank you for all those who have purchased Remembrance Day items from the office. Lest we forget!
Our Foundation Stage children have taken part in a sponsored song where they have learnt a number of nursery rhymes and performed them to all parents. Thank you to all who have sponsored the children and all that came to listen to their fantastic voices.
