.We are very concerned by stories coming into school about a current hacking "game" called Momo.
It targets children on social media and encourages them to do "challenges" which are extremely dangerous. It also sends them violent images and dares. If you want further information on this, I recommend you google it, as I cannot share quite how horrific it is on this platform. In order to keep your child(ren) safe from this, the police are giving the following advice: - Ensure you know what your children can access online (and supervise their online usage whenever possible). - Ensure your children understand the importance of not giving personal information to anyone they do not know. - Tell your children that no-one has the right to make them do anything they do not want to. - Use parental controls on devices with internet access. I also recommend that you talk to your child about Momo and what to do if they come across it. If you have any concerns about this at all, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs Mundy at school for support in online safety. Our Key Stage Two pupils held their PRIDE Awards ceremony and it was so wonderful and made me extremely proud of all the children for their determination, respect, independence and effort that they have shown this half term. Well done to each and everyone who received one!
A huge well done and congratulations to High View's Top Table Diners for this half term! they have followed our dining room rules and have gained an early lunch at the top table on Friday. Thank you and well done!
In assembly this week the pupils, through their class council time, were set a challenge. The challenge was to think about the skills they want to have developed by the time they leave High View. They had a quick think about them in the assembly and came up with words like resilient, determined, friendship. Max has spent time at home completing the task and I want to say an enormous WELL DONE and THANK YOU MAX for your superb attitude and effort with this! I am so proud of you!
