I really do hope that this blog finds you all safe, well and that you have had a lovely summer break.
I just wanted to make contact with yourselves and the pupils before we embark on what will be a unique academic year. Before we broke up for summer, we shared all the transition information for the September start. This is still on our school website under the Reopening Tabs and Transition 2020. The information and guidance, as you will have seen throughout the last 6 weeks, is constantly changing and being updated. The school has continued to follow this and we are ready to welcome the children to school on Wednesday 2nd September. Staff have been in school getting the classrooms ready so look out for images and messages from staff on Tuesday when we have finalised how they will look. This should help the pupils feel a bit more comfortable with how the classroom will look. Again the leaflet/videos and information are on the website for further information. As we embark on these new situations and experiences, as a school we want to let you know that we are here to support the whole community. The staff have clear procedures and safety precautions to ensure the children are safe in their bubbles and feel happy again to come to school. We are all extremely excited and eager to see them and give them the best education and experiences possible, working with their friends and in a place they feel safe. Staff will be on the school grounds and at the classroom doors to welcome the pupils back and guide them to how and where they need to go. Hopefully this will help with any concerns or questions on Wednesday, so please do not worry, help will be on hand. All we ask is that if you can walk, please walk and if you need to come by car then you park legally and safely. School site will be extremely busy as we are just using the one entrance and exit at the moment and need to be safe for our community. All it leaves me to say is to have a great bank holiday weekend, continue to stay safe and please try not to worry. We are ready and waiting for the pupils to come back. Will we possibly need to make changes? Yes, it is a completely new situation so we will need each other to guide and help us. Reflecting and making changes is good, it means things can be improved and as we are all in this together, we will be kind and helpful to one another and continue to work together as a team for the good of the pupils. Please be patient during this time, ask if you are unsure and school will be here for anything you may need. Thank you for all that you have done so far during Covid-19 and for all that you will continue to do to support the school and the education of your children. All our love, we cannot wait to see you all! Miss Smith and all the staff.
