We have had another exciting and settling week in school. The pupils have continued to follow our new rules and systems remarkably. Thank you for adapting to the new times and I really hope these are supportive. The pupils have listened to a story based on our Golden Rule of Work Hard through Farmer Duck. The children were able to listen through Zoom and I will continue to do assemblies through this to keep in contact and keep the children connected as best we can.
Nursery and Reception: We have now welcomed all our new starters in the school and we are so excited to have them every day next week. They have worked so hard, played so well and have been so brave coming and joining our amazing team. Well done to all the pupils and the parents for their positive approach to starting school. In the past, we have held Special Mentions Assembly for Foundation Stage and Key Stage One. During lock down we did this for the whole school and we found this to be a wonderful example of praising the work, attitude and new skills displayed by the pupils. We are therefore going to continue this but we are changing the name of the reward. The rewards will be shared through either a Zoom Assembly or a Power Point which will be shared on the newsletter and on the website. Our new Awards are going to be called: High View’s Honours! The awards will begin next week. Please keep sharing achievements from home too, like swimming, sports through class dojo, etc to ensure we can celebrate these too.
