Good evening all,
What a week! Massive Thank yous! Can I first thank all of the wonderful, amazing, dedicated and truly perfect children. The standard of work all the staff are receiving is truly remarkable. We know as parents ourselves how challenging it is to keep children motivated and enthusiastic during these challenging times and the fact that they have remained as hard working as they are in school is fantastic. Well done to each and everyone of you, who are sharing their work and learning with us, it is very much appreciated and it is making us extremely happy and proud. Parent/Carers We do not have the words to show our appreciation for all that you are doing, As you know, this week in particular has been challenging for us all with the news that school is expected to be opening to some of our year groups on 1st June and the difficult decisions we all have to make. The parents we have spoken to this week have been truly incredible. Your kindness, caring words and patience is so appreciated during these times and the fact that you are also so understanding of the situation we are in, makes it that little bit more bearable. The school is obviously making plans and attempting to organise what this will look like and we will share more information once we have it finalised. Please remember, this is a plan, it is not definite, things may change in terms of the governments decision and in the decisions the school will have to make due to ensuring that all safety procedures are able to be put in place. For those year groups which are remaining at home, the home learning will continue but again changes will have to be made due to the number of staff that we need in school for the smaller groups. Again, I have to ask for patience and kindness during this time and please remember if you have any questions, we as a whole staff are here through dojo, seesaw and of course through a phone call to school! - I promise more information will follow on this, this week! INSET DAY/Half Term As the school has done since Easter, school is remaining opening every day apart from weekends. Due to this, there will be no work expected on seesaw on Friday 22nd May as it should have been an INSET. This is the day teachers have, to write their reports. The following week is half term. Again there will be no work set during this week. However, as school is open, we have a number of staff in school looking after our key worker children. This means a number of staff are taking this week - WC 18.5.20 as their half term. The staff which this involves will share this with the relevant year groups. I just wanted to keep you informed of these changes as we move forward. It just leaves me to say again, thank you. Thank you! Thank you! Two words, simple in the written form but mean so much. These are uncertain times, unknowing times of what to do, the words of right and wrong are so vague in these times of firsts in our life time! All I can say it that we are all trying our best, aren't we? All doing what we can to get through. All just trying. Please remember that in all situations we find ourselves, wrong is not wrong we are just in the middle of solving never ever answered problems. These take time, editing to be made, errors to be found and changes to find the answer. Be kind, keep trying and stay safe. Sending out lots of loves and hugs, we are missing each and everyone of you and really wish for the old normal. Miss Smith xxx
