Special delivery for Year 3!

This term we have been enjoying reading Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone and on the 1st May we received our very own owl post, all the way from Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry! 
The children were extremely excited to receive their acceptance letter, equipment letter and a one way ticket for the Hogwarts Express! 
After reading the letter we realised we needed to reply to Professor McGonagall's invitation and immediately began to learn about the features of a formal letter so that we could reply to her formally and quickly, letting her know we would love to accept her kind invitation. 
Since then, we have started to prepare for the new subjects and lessons we will be taking at Hogwarts, including learning the name and purpose of a range of spells, of course no real magic was used around the muggles!
