Dear All,
During these unprecedented times, school has attempted to find ways to engage all our pupils in learning from home and continues to do so, as we all know and appreciate that education is the most powerful tool we can have to ensure the future of our dreams. High View has been using the app called Seesaw to post, comment, like and see what each individual child is doing at home. Due to the fact that teachers can see the work, post videos to support learning and give feedback to each individual, we have now subscribed to the app for a year. This means for all our full time pupils (Reception up to our current Year 6) we have paid for them to use this app to demonstrate their learning. It also gives the teachers, and especially senior leaders, the opportunity to see everyone’s work, how often they are accessing the site, how many posts they have sent and the parents’ comments. The children really enjoy seeing comments from the teachers and yourselves. If you have not yet logged on to the app, your child will not have been able to use it yet to begin to upload their learning on to it. The school is planning on continuing to use this in some way when school opens, hopefully to all of the pupils, in the autumn term, so I am asking you to please try and get familiar with the app and how to use it. It will continue the link between school and home, as we do not want the autumn to come and the pupils to not have had any contact with their current teacher. Using Seesaw gives all of us the easy communication system to keep in touch and continue to feel part of the High View Family. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact school or your child’s class teacher. More updates regarding school will be sent next week once the government announces their update today. Thank you for your patience and support. Thank you Miss Smith
