To show how much we appreciate our friends in FS2 the children made wristbands using repeating patterns. They tried really hard to make the wristbands look neat, colourful and continue with the same pattern. The children then presented their wristband to a friend, wore them during the day at school and then took them home. We wanted to make everyone feel special!
During Anti-Bullying Week Year 1 have been designing and making Friendship Biscuits. At the end of the week the children will give their biscuit to a new friend.
During 'Anti-Bullying Week' in year 4 we focussed on our strengths and how we could use these to stamp out bullying. We found out what others liked and admired about us and turned these into our super powers. We created powers such as kindness, friendliness, loyalty and determination. We then used these powers to help Jason beat the bullies in our story for the week. During this week we also created posters and rosettes to promote our super strengths to stamp out bullying. We also spent some time studying the short film 'Little Freak' and discussed the feelings, strengths and weaknesses of the character. We decided it really wasn't fair that he was treated like a 'freak' because he looked different. We focussed on his strengths and how he could use these to beat his circumstances. We hope you enjoy looking at our work as much as we enjoyed creating it! |
