Year 2 World Book Day

We had a fantastic day for World Book day, all the children dressed up as a character from a book.   During the morning KS1 had a parade in our hall, where all the children had the opportunity to see their friends and other classes in costumes.  It was a lovely morning.  The children clapped and cheered as others paraded the halls. The children then listened to a story and all interacted with actions and noises.

During the day we also had the opportunity to do some shared/paired reading with another year group.  The children absolutely loved it and were so happy to be reading to older children and vice versa.
