The pupils used our Atlas to find out the key features of the world and how it is separated using the vocabulary. They then used the balloon's to draw these in the correct place.
Our Year 5 pupils have been designing and creating their suitcases for what they would take if they had been evacuated from a city. They applied their maths skills to draw a net which would make a suitcase format. They worked so well together as a pair and we are looking forward to seeing the completed object.
Our Year 2 class were recapping their previous learning of the United Kingdom and how we could travel to these countries. The children used our outdoor environment to locate the countries and travelling methods using the correct vocabulary. The children are now all wanting to fly to Ireland!
A huge thank you to all the parents who have attended our welcome meetings. It is so lovely to meet you all and get to know you as well as share what the year ahead will look like. Please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher if you have any questions or concerns. Let the great times begin!
