Our library visits were both in the afternoons, we were so excited and talked about nothing else all morning! We are so lucky to have a library in Wombwell. It is very well equipped and a welcoming place to visit. We walked to the library with a Year 6 buddy and the walk was exciting too. On our walk we looked at the local environment and discussed the buildings and landmarks that we passed.
When we arrived Mrs Blewitt was waiting for us. She told us about the different sections of the library and explained how the system works. We listened to some stories, sang songs and took part in a treasure hunt looking for book characters. The Year 6 children were so kind and patient. It was so touching to see them reading to the FS children, asking them questions and listening to their opinions. We are hoping to arrange another visit for the Summer term with our new friends.
