This week we have been learning about celebrations in China for the New Year. We have read the story of 'The Great Race' and enjoyed finding out about the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. To finish off our week we had noodles with prawn crackers and performed our very own dragon parade.

John visited us from the RSPB. He is based at the Old Moor Wetlands Centre and told us so much information about birds. We looked at the colours of garden birds and the different noises that they make. Some of the birds sing songs and others make noises that we thought sounded like car alarms. The bullfinch sounded like a frog!
We have got our binoculars out and are going to look on the field and see how many different types of birds we can spot. Team Activ ran a sports event in school for our FS2 children. The children were divided into teams and worked so hard on their activities. They were supportive of their friends and tried right up to the end, giving their all. We were very proud of their effort levels and attitudes.
