The children were so excited about the non-uniform day. Our classrooms look so different without the usual 'blue jumpers!' Thank you to all the parents and carers who have provided buns for the 'coffee afternoon', you have been very generous!
In Foundation Stage we love story time. The children love to get settled down and listen to a story. We have at least 2 stories every day, often more. The children have been voting for their favourite stories and are beginning to give reasons for their choices.
These are some of our favourites from this week.
The children have been so excited with our new voting system. They have used one cube each to show which book they liked the best.
This week was a really big week for us in FS2. The children all met each other and the classrooms seemed very full with 30 children! The children have experienced many new activities indoors and outdoors. We have started our phonics and introduced the first 5 sounds. The children love to take part in our 'Fred talk' and are getting really good at blending sounds together, eg. b-u-s bus!
We have taken some 'busy' photos to show you.
We would like to say a big welcome to all our new families. Thank you for choosing High View for your child.
The children looked so smart in their new school uniforms and were very proud to be wearing them. We are looking forward to getting to know you all better and working with you and your child.
We are always very busy in FS2! We want our children to have fun whilst also becoming independent learners.
