Well, Year 6 dared to take on the teachers in a timestable battle. 54 children vs 25 staff.
"It will be easy!" the children said. "More of us than you!" the children said. The results speak for themselves! The teachers were victorious! •Kiera – for just always being prepared, organised and always giving 100% whatever the task.
• Landen – for his kind, respectful behaviour to all of his peers and the staff. He is polite and a joy to have in class. •Olivia – for having a wonderful attitude. She works hard in Year 6 and is willing to have a go at everything. •Lucas – he has put in every effort in class, he continues to listen and work hard. Fantastic Year 6 attitude. This week our Golden Rule was Be Gentle.
These are our gentle children in Year 6: Kaylie-Mai – just a kind and gentle member of the class. She is a considerate child and looks after her friends. She is a good friend. Eryn-Jenna for being a kind and gentle member of the class and having patience when working in pairs or teams. This week our honours are:
•Alan – for trying in all subjects, especially maths. For attending every day and being a wonderful member of Year 6. •Lewis – for his bravery and resilience and getting back to learning quickly after his accident. •Chelsea – for her resilience in learning and always putting in 100% effort. Demonstrating a Year 6 attitude at all times. •Finn – demonstrating honesty and taking responsibility for his actions. Owning up to mistakes and learning from them. This week our Golden Rule was Be Honest.
Our winners are: Charlie – for being honest and choosing to do the right thing even when it may have been easier to follow the crowd. Georgie – has shown how he can be honest even when it is hard to be. Today, we attempted to solve this problem. It was frustrating, challenging, made us use our reasoning skills - when we solved it, there was elation! |
