On the 19th of April, the Year 5 and 6 tag rugby team went to Shaw Lane for the Year 5 and 6 tag rugby finals. On the day,we had two teams who went to Shaw Lane .When we got there, it was extremely hot outside so we had to keep checking we were hydrated . We played lots of games and won most , but on the last two games we were beat by Hoylandswaine and we drew against Upperwood. This meant that we came a very respectable 3rd place ,narrowly missing out on the the semi finals by a difference of two tries.

On the 16th and 17th April 2018 as we were hard at work, some of our younger members of school were on a mind-blowing school trip to Ledston Estate. They did a lot of cool activities including: collecting leaves, twigs and beach nuts, making dens out of twigs and leaves and also collected animals from the amazing story The Gruffalo. All of the foundation year came back with smiles the size of an elephant. They used this trip to inspire their topic of planting.
By Oliver (Year 5) Hello and welcome to High View's brand new pupil blog and magazine. Here you will be able to read all the latest news from High View. The difference between this blog and some of the others is this investigated, photographed and written by the pupils at High View. They are in charge of it all, including the editing process. These skills will be learnt during a 6 week Golden Time block. Please take the time to read their work as most articles are written in their own time.
At the end of each half term, the children will be selling hard copies of the blog as a 'termly round up'. All proceeds will go towards future activities and treats for the children at High View. Thank you and we hope you enjoy. Miss G |
