Today, the children were fortunate enough to work with Paul from the amazing Primary School Enterprise Project.
They spent the day creating and designing their own radio shows and they had many tasks to complete: assigning roles within their teams, managing a budget, desiging a logo and mascot, and discussing and identifying the ideal places to advertise and play their show. Not only did they have to work as part of a team, listen to each other and share their ideas the children had to present their show to a panel of judges where they were pushed out of their comfort zones completely when they were all expected to speak! They worked incredibly hard all day, displaying lots of different skills but most importantly having a fantastic time! The presentations and shows were that good Paul decided that not only one group would go through to the final, but two!
Both teams are now super excited to be able to evaluate and improve their shows in preparation for the final, which will take place in July at the Metrodome Arena against a number of other schools. They will be expected to present again to another panel of judges including some famous radio presenters such as Stephanie Hirst, JoJo and many others!
An enormous well done to everyone involved, but particularly the Super Six and Songs on Air who were our winners! Keep your fingers crossed, one of our teams could be the overall winners!
