We have been investigating and solving problems around volume of shapes today. We used the multilink to create 3D shapes in order to solve some problems and spot links and patterns in different shapes and their volume. We discovered that the formula for calculating volume was l x w x h. During the investigations we realised that multiplication is commutative so it doesn't actually matter which way you multiply the numbers - as long as you multiply the correct ones!
