International Women's Day!

8/3/2018

This week we celebrated International Women's Day. We discussed and identified women from different parts of the world - past and present  - who achieved something amazing throughout their lifetimes.  We then decided  that we each  have a very inspirational woman, close to home, in the form of our mums, step-mums, grandmothers, aunties and sisters, to name but a few!
This then led us to do some writing about what makes our female relative special to us, some  even went as far to say , they were their heroines. The final result?  Some fantastic, tear-jerking emotive language that shows just how much we love and appreciate these people, even if we don't always show it!   We have attached some of the writing below...tissues at the ready!
