This afternoon we took part in a workshop with Darren England, a professional football referee, who works for the FA. Darren has even refereed matches that Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo have played in!
We worked together in teams to develop different items that might be useful to the referees during a game and then presented these ideas to the class - in the style of Dragons Den!
We learnt that there are some key elements required in order to work successfully as a team: listening, sharing, working collaboratively, giving feedback, being patient, questioning skills and most importantly respect!
