To introduce our new history topic of the Anglo-Saxons, Year 5 were given a mystery to solve. They had to find out the person who was buried at the famous burial site at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk. We studied all the pieces of evidence we had and discussed what it showed us and what we could deduce from it. Then, just like a detective would, we eliminated the possible suspects before we were left with the most likely person: Raedwald. We realised that we had to use our inference skills from reading in order to be successful. It's true what we keep being told - reading is everywhere!
