We have been around school looking for different appliances that run off the mains or that use batteries. We even discovered some things that were solar powered.
Last week, we were given wires, batteries, bulbs and crocodile clips and set with the challenge to make the bulb light up.
We found out that it needs to be in a full circuit without any breaks for the electrical current to flow around in order for the bulb to light up.
Some of us found it frustrating at first when we couldn't figure out how to put the circuit together correctly, but with great determination and perserverance we kept going and we were delighted when the bulb finally lit!
