This week we have been learning all about Roman roads in both literacy and topic lessons.
In literacy, we have been collecting facts and starting to write our non-chronological reports about Roman roads. Some of our subheadings we came up with were:
Who built the roads?
What tools did they use?
How did they build the roads?
Why were the roads straight?
In our topic lessons, we have been making our very own Roman roads using different materials such as rice, lentils and beans to represent the different layers of the road.
Here are a few examples of our work. What do you think?
