As part of our RE culture week, we had a special visitor in Year 4. Mr Singh came in to talk to us about his faith 'Sikhism'.
He was very interesting and we learnt lots about Sikhism. He spoke a lot about how we are all special and equal and played us some music. He taught us about the 5 Ks which are physical symbols worn by Sikhs who have been initiated into the Khalsa.
The five Ks are:
Kesh (uncut hair)
Kara (a steel bracelet)
Kanga (a wooden comb)
Kaccha - also spelt, Kachh, Kachera (cotton underwear)
Kirpan (steel sword)
