As part of our chocolate topic we carried out a science experiment today to investigate the changing state of chocolate.
We were comparing minstrels to chocolate buttons and wanted to know whether there would be a difference in the length of time the two chocolates took to melt.
We discovered that minstrels took longer than chocolate buttons to melt which is what many of the children hypothesised. It seems that the hard sugar coating on minstrels helps the chocolate to stay a solid for longer.
We had great fun stepping into the shoes of scientists today and of course we got to eat our samples once the investigation was complete!
