We have also been investigating in science this week as Smyths Toy Store write to us asking for our help! They asked us to experiment with different magnets and conclude which is the strongest type of magnet for a new toy they are designing. We thought carefully about which variables we would have to change and which ones we would need to keep the same to ensure our investigation was fair. The number of paperclips each magnet attracted was carefully counted and recorded in a tally chart. Finally, we presented our findings in a bar chart and concluded which magnet was strongest.
This week, we have continued experimenting with different painting techniques in art. We mixed our primary colours with PVA glue to investigate using thickened paint, before mixing the same colours with sand to produce textured paint. We had great fun seeing the different effects we could make with these paints. We have also been investigating in science this week as Smyths Toy Store write to us asking for our help!
