As part of our art this half term we worked on sculpture to create a mold for our volcanoes using scrunched up newspaper built around a milk bottle. We then covered our sculpture bases in modrock to create a firmer, watertight layer. It was a very messy job but we were all very proud of our creations.
Finally, to replicate the pressure that builds up inside a volcano and the eruption we used vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and of course food colouring to make our eruptions more realistic!
