We spent the afternoon on Monday, learning all about what a human needs to survive. We had fun sorting out what we classed as "essentials" and "none essentials" - it was interesting to see what some of the children thought.
We enjoyed some role play to start with, acting as Florence Nightingale and a soldier, thinking about different scenarios and what we would need to help the soldier to survive. Every one had a go at the drama and it was great to see the children's imaginations.
In groups, we drew around one of our teams, using our pictures and words to sort to show what we thought. What a great, active science lesson in which the children left with so many facts!
