Today we performed our class assembly for our grown-ups at home!
We opened our assembly with our fantastic ukulele performance with Mr Fuller, our music teacher. We performed 5 songs and showed off our skills we had learned over the last term and half! Our assembly was all about the Romans and what they did for us. We sang two songs 'Just like a Roman' and 'King Caractacus' and entertained everyone with our dance moves. Everyone really enjoyed it!

We had great fun on Friday with our brilliant Roman visitor. He was an actual Roman Centurion and told us all about why the Romans were so successful for so long and how amazing the Roman army actually was! We got to dress up like Romans and handle artefacts that the Romans would have used 2,000years ago! We even learnt how to fight like a Roman soldier! In the afternoon, we made oil lamps out of clay and games that the soldiers would have used to entertain themselves during long evenings in their barracks. We were busy all day and learnt so much about life as a Roman. During Anti-Bullying week, we invited our parents in to work with us on some Anti-Bullying tasks using our slogan 'Change Starts with us.' We thought of positive changes we could make and wrote them on our hands. |
