Today we had some very special visitors to school....from Bernice the bearded dragon, Rocky the gecko to Merida the guinea pig. We were lucky enough for two ladies from Wigfield Farm to come to visit us with a selection of animals to immerse us into our science curriculum even further. We met the animals, talked about their diets, habitats and discussed what animals, including humans need to survive. We are sure the children will be able to tell you the basic needs that we talked about. Try asking them!

As part of our history work, we have been learning about the lives of significant individuals and the impact that they have had. Our first experience was Marie Curie and we have learnt so much about her life and the impact she has had on all our lives today. Then today we had a very special visitor this week.... Florence Nightingale. The children enjoyed this experience and being able to ask Florence lots of questions about her time, her job, what differences and changes she made amongst many other things. We cannot wait to learn more about her over the next few weeks. |
