Today, Year 4 and 6 walked to St Mary's Church to retell the Christmas Story. Wonderful readings and amazing singing happened in such a special place. It really does feel like Christmas now.
Listen to our beautiful singing.
For this week ALL Year 6 have been given the golden rule 'Work Hard!' We could not be more proud of the children that went to Robinwood and stayed in school. They all worked hard and made us proud.
This week we went to Robinwood in Todmorden. We were excited and nervous, as it was our first residential trip. During the three days, we pushed ourselves to our limits, really trying hard to challenge ourselves, work together and try new things. This trip has helped build our resilience and our team working skills as well as being so much fun. Just take a look!
Year 6 and FS2 have had a wonderful afternoon walking to Wombwell Library together. The Year 6 children acted like role models walking with a partner from foundation and making new friends.
At the library, we listened to The Night Before Christmas and learnt about how the library works. Year 6 then read stories to the foundation children and shared that special time together. Any child that has a library card borrowed a book to take home. A wonderful time was had by all!
We can't wait to do it again in the spring.
