Today we have been practising how to use a protractor to measure and draw angles accurately!
We taped up the tables to make crazy patterns and then measured the different angles. We labelled them by writing on the tables with white board pens! (Ssshhh, don't tell Miss Smith!)
As part of our topic this term - The Great Debate - we invited our local, Labour MP, Stephanie Peacock in to school. Stephanie came to talk to us about what life is like as a Member of Parliament, what inspired her to become an MP and what her favourite part of the job is.
We learnt some interesting facts about the rules MPs have to follow whilst in Parliament and of course, asked some rather tricky questions about the current political situation in Britain. Stephanie was more than happy to answer all of our questions and then asked us what we thought should be a key priority for development within our community. We shared all of our ideas: vandalism, plastic use, helping homeless people and caring for the elderly.
