This weeks Golden Rule was work hard. In Year 6, we are all working hard, but Max and Sam have gone above and beyond and are truly working hard. Keep it up!

Be Gentle was this week's Golden Rule. We have such a gentle school and it is thanks to pupils like Macey and Olivia that are always gentle. These girls follow all our golden rules and are Always Children. Keep it up!
We were tasked with the question -
How could we dry Bella's dresses using electricity? We were given a tray of equipment and a really long wire as we had to build large circuits. Did you know water conducts electricity? Look at our circuits below. What a wonderful day learning at Magna! Split into the four elements - fire, air earth and water- we discovered how each of these could help the world, from riverbeds and the power of water to the firenado - it was so very interesting! A person was shot! By who? Why? When? We, as forensic scientists, had to solve this crime. Experimenting with blood spatter patterns, chromatography and finger printing - we had to find the evidence and deduce who had killed the victim. This week our golden rule was 'Listen to People'. Maddison and Bogdan were voted for by their peers - they have been listening well in class to instructions and feedback to ensure they are making excellent progress in all areas of their learning. Well done - keep it up!
Aurora and Alex were our golden rule winners this week, they were awarded a certificate for keeping our 'Being kind and helpful' rule. They are always kind to others and are helpful to both teachers and friends in and outside of the classroom. Keep it up!
We kick started the spring term by celebrating the progress we had made through the Autumn 2 term! It was great to start the week on a positive, celebratory note and allowed us all to set ourselves knew goals and targets for the coming weeks. We can't wait to continue our learning journey and see just how much more progress we can make during this term.
