A new year is on its way and that means a new School Council to drive our school forward and represent the pupil voice in Year 5.
31 children pitched their ideas to their peers and a democratic vote was taken. Four lucky children were voted for and will represent both Year 5 classes in academic year 2018-19. The children are: Roxie-Lea, Poppy, Max and Honey. We wish them lots of luck in their new roles. They will make excellent School council members and will probably continually nag their new teachers in order to get their points across. Well done guys.

Year 4 had a wonderful visit to Whitby to explore the Abbey linked to our liteacy work on Dracula and compare localities. We completed the walk up and down the 199 steps and enjoyed fish and chips on the beach. The weather was sunny and the children really enjoyed their day.
Today was our final Family Fun Session. In literacy, we have been studying Theseus and the Minotaur as part of our Ancient Greece topic. The children and their parents were given the task to construct a model labyrinth that housed the minotaur. We look forward to the myths and legends they will write at home based on their structure. |
