Today the Roman's have invaded Year 4! A visitor has been in today showing and telling us all about The Roman's. We have been learning about how The Empire grew and the skilful efficiency of the Roman Army. Discovering the contents of the soldier's packs, we found lots of interesting items particularly a sponge on a stick! I wonder what that was for? The afternoon was full of activities: we made oil lamps; made a game; became Roman Soldiers and drew Roman Artefacts. What an exciting day!

Today was a big day for Year 4. The hard work of the last few weeks was over and now it was time to perform - and perform they did! With gusto, the children took to the stage and performed for both school and their parents. The singing was beautiful and acting was amazing. An egg-stra special mention to the soloists and Jesus - you were brilliant! Year 4 made everyone very proud! Listen to our wonderful singing below. This week we have been learning about division. It has been fun getting outside and active with our maths learning. We have been using concrete apparatus to further our learning in the classroom. Division is fun! Today we celebrated World Book Day. We dressed up as characters from a book - there were lots of witches and wizards in Year 4! We had a lovely time reading with Mrs Banks's and Mrs Housden's Classes and sharing stories! Today was also Miss Conway's final day. It has been wonderful having her teach and work with us. We wish her all the best in the future! |
