A big thank you to all our lovely Year 3 families for coming along and helping us make our volcanoes. We had lots of fun and made a good mess. Our volcanoes are all ready for painting now and we will make them erupt in the week before Easter. Here are some amazing pictures of our morning. Thank you again.
In was Science Week this week and the theme for 2019 was Journeys. Year 3 looked at the incredible journey of the Channel Tunnel and leant some interesting facts. We then made our own Tunnel or Tracks board games loosely based on snakes and ladders. We really enjoyed creating our board games and playing them - we even added some interesting facts to the game.
In Topic this half term we are learning all things Volcano. We have looked at how they are formed, how they erupt, where we can find them in the world. We even know the names of some volcanoes like Miss Williams' favourite Popocatepetl also known as POPO. This week we have made our very own volcanoes to see what happens inside.
Year 3 really enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite character, tuned into BBC's World Book Day live show, recommended our favourite books and read with Year 1 and Year 6. Here are some photos to show our amazing day and costumes.
