The children had a special delivery today, from the GFOL Builders. They've sent them some wooden houses to recreate the Tudor houses from 1666 to allow them to evaluate their building plans for our playground! The children aren't happy about them building on our playground...lets hope we can persuade them otherwise! They did however, enjoy painting the houses which will form part of a 3d model plan for the builders. They used their colours to create others and had great brush strokes when painting.

We have been working on multiplication and as part of this, we have looked at arrays. Arrays are all around us and help us to understand the multiplication sentences. They are made up of rows an columns. Look at these great arrays the children drew and made. Wow, a junk modelling morning! What a great first morning back after half term. The children were in awe to see a classroom full of boxes, glue and all thinks junk to allow them to create a house. What fantastic creations! This week we have read the story of The Invisible String and have used this as a text driver for our learning. The children have produced some fantastic work. Here are some string pictures they made. |
