In Year 1 we have been learning all about Guy Fawkes and his Gunpowder Plot to blow up the houses of parliament in 1605. We learnt that after the plot was foiled the King decided to celebrate and that is why we have bonfire night. Here are some pictures of our learning. We celebrated our friends in Year 1 during anti-bullying week. We started by designing an amazing biscuit for our special friend. We then cooked and decorated and presented the biscuits to our Special Friends to take home at the end of the week. Here are a selection of photographs to show you what we did.
Year 1 enjoyed a walk to the Train Station and an exciting train ride to Penistone. We looked out of the window and noted all the things we could see. We saw sheep in a field, a large crane, a motorway and lots of cars. When we arrived in Penistone we looked at how it differed to Wombwell. We then had a lovely packed lunch in the church before returning to school. Enjoy looking at the pictures of our adventure. |
