Later in the day, we did a letter study in Maths to determine the frequency of different letters using a tally chart. We found 'e' was the highest frequency letter followed by the other vowels, l, m, s and t.
In the afternoon, we went to do some paired reading with the year 1 children. Our pupils were so helpful and kind when working with the younger children. It was a pleasure to see each of them enjoying reading and being read to. The Year 4s were really impressed with how well some of the Year 1 children could read!
It was a fantastic day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and celebrating our love of books!
