Year 6 have been exploring extreme environments as part of their topic. They have spent time researching, discussing and finding out about how animals adapt to changes in the environment and how they survive. They worked in groups to create explanation texts.
Year 2 have been looking at the basic needs that a human needs. they have worked collaboratively to create an image of the needs. They did an superb job and understood what it is to be healthy. They even had to sort what essentials were as well as non essentials!
Year 3 have been learning about The Stone Age and created their own images as part of their topic display. Lots of family members came into school to support the event and wow the quality looks amazing!
Nursery and reception children had a visit from the Dental Service this Friday. They learned all about looking after their teeth. Look at how well they now know how to brush their teeth and check teeth. I am really looking forward to seeing who becomes a dental nurse or dentist in the future as they are already nearly experts. Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a fabulous afternoon at Locke Park and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were participating in their first whole class/year competition and everyone tried their best, the weather was kind and represented school.
