At High View Primary Learning Centre, we recognise that Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is an important and necessary part of all pupils’ education through which children develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. We aim to provide opportunities for our children to develop the life-skills which will then enable them to make informed decisions and we understand it is our responsibility to deliver a high-quality, age-appropriate lessons to help them embrace the challenges of creating happy and successful adult lives.
PSHE is a non-statutory subject, which is taught alongside the statutory Relationships and Health Education. PSHE can encompass many areas of study. Teachers are best placed to understand the needs of their pupils and will adapt the delivery of their lessons to best cater the needs of their pupils.
